Internet speed is decent, but everything takes its time to load?

Hi all, evening.

I am currently using a 5G CPE router through a mesh system, however, while my internet speed is pretty good (I think) - I have noticed the speed on my laptop and other devices is not so fast... I constantly have to wait for things to load, and online meetings don't go so well as I work from home.

Any ideas on what I can do pls?

Thanks!

It looks like you're in Saudi Arabia. The first thing I'd think from that is that the local government has filtering in place that's delaying things.
thank you for the reply, it seems to work fine elsewhere.. just not at home lol

Try setting custom DNS servers. It could be that the look up of web addresses is taking too long.

Also, mesh routers can introduce delays and issues because they're relaying everything between the mesh points.

Thank you, is that custom DNS server on the mesh directly or on my laptop?

You can try it in either places. Maybe on your laptop first to check it resolves your issue.

I’d also try connecting directly to your 5G Hub WiFi and see if you still get loading issues.

thank you, I think I have done it - does this look right?

legend thank you! also what do you think of this?

That product is to attach to a PC to get better WiFi signal.

I wouldn't bother with an antenna, they normally don't really do much for you unless you're on the edge of coverage. If your signal is not one bar or something, you'll be getting the best of what's available.

Ah good to know; my Router has been modified for antenna installation but if its no use I won't bother. Thanks!
