Hello.
I am a newbie to this forum and really to this whole internet lark, so feel free to 'dumb down' any responses
The following thread got picked up whilst googling for info on how to 'find out the IP range allocated by an ISP' ....... http://www.ispreview.co.uk/talk/showthread.php?t=8513
Even though the instructions are simple enough even for me to understand, it is not apparent to me how one can determine the answer ... i.e. which IP address range a particular ISP dynamically allocates.
If the result of the visit to: http://www.ripe.net/perl/whois specifies -
inetnum: 195.92.248.0 - 195.92.255.255
does that mean that this is the dynamic range allocated by wanadoo? (in this example)
I suspect (gut feel) not?!
Any help is appreciated.
Cheers
