IPv6 address changed after 4 months

This morning at 04:00 my IPv6 prefix changed, but my (public) IPv4 address did not. I have not been messing with my system since last November other than the occasional power reboot.
That's stable enough for me.

My prefix has changed and I can't seem to route in and out via ipv6 now.

I can ping the ipv6 address given to the router itself from external (and ping out from it).

I had some wobble with IPv6 these past two days, like not being able to get a prefix via DHCP client or losing a lease while still within the 8 day lease time.

Hopefully they've gotten it sorted out.

Just noticed that I lost IPv6 15:30 ish on Saturday 13th and not re-established. Investigating. KT3/ New Malden.

Mine is still broken, they suggested rebooting the router (ha ha). I've tried that but I'm using pfSense, not their box. I've also tried tweaking various settings to no avail.

On Saturday afternoon I lost my IPv6 connection and it never re-established. It has been stable and untouched for several months. Today I disconnected my pfsense router and reconnected my Linksys router and all worked OK. I did a bit of tracing and noted I had a /56 prefix. Reconnected my pfsense (2.7.1) changed the 'DHCPv6 Prefix Delegation size' from 48 to 56 and that resolved the problem. Got the same IPv4 and IPv6 address and a new IPv6 address prefix.

Try powering off their ONT, plugging in the original router supplied by CFL, wait will you get an IPv6 address, then swap it back to your own equipment.

Have you cloned MAC address so it doesn't change between your 2 routers?

I didn't, and annoyingly I just lost the IPv6 IP and prefix lease and not renewing at all.

I will need to wait till after work to try @Boab's method and see if my prefix size had changed. Will report back when able.

Annoyingly the IPv6 lease came back randomly without me doing anything. Earlier no amount of Renew / Release got me any leases... It's still the same /48 prefix as I had before the lease disappeared.

Sounds annoying tbh, no idea why your ipv6 prefix can't remain with you for the life of your contract
