i saw a bunch of these marking on my street and outside my home. I wonder if this is Openreach?

I checked one.network website , there are two openreach work scheduled will be performed 2 blocks away and 4 blocks away from my house, but nothing mentioned on my street though...

Those are quite extensive markings, more than I'd expect Openreach to need since presumably they'd just be digging along a footpath or using existing ducting. That level of marking up looks like what you get when someone wants to renew a gas main or similar.

Not sure what’s going on there but I doubt that’s openreach or for any telco. Looks like a mapping of the various utilities but for what reason, I cannot say. Pretty sure yellow is gas and blue is water supply.

I might be seeing things but that looks like a "VM" to me in that photo you have uploaded. If so could it be NextFibres Virgin Media rollout they are doing?

Or from the other direction "WA" ?

Agree that it's just someone having surveyed for all the underground utilities. The only thing you might be able to make any guess from is any markings that infer a new chamber or cabinet and if that gives any clues.

Telecoms don't usually go for a full underground survey because they usually don't dig as deep as many of the other services, although it's a risk led decision based on the plans that are available.

The lighter blue is existing VM duct. It's marked up same way as the rest of the stuff in the pavement and road and you can see it going to pits. Water is going to be the darker blue: can see it going to stop cocks outside homes. Red electricity, yellow gas, white Openreach.
