Is this possible

I am on their 2MB package, and expect speeds of about 200k. Im thinking this is amximum capacity.

However a P2P program that I used, a few minutes ago whilst computer was idle showed the download speed to be around 400k. I am positive it was not just a program error.
Is this possible on my line? When I started using my pc again, it went down to 100k+

Are ukonline doing some sort of test for 8MB capacity?
Are they thinking of upgrading their loyal, caring and deserving 2mb customers due to the onslaught of 8mb packages their competition is coming up with, coupled with all in one entertainment and phone packages?

not likely, I have had speeds around 500kbs for a while. somewhere I sure the speed isnt being reported properly. my mate saw 18kbs on his download once, back when he had 56k.

they wont upgrade unless you ask them to, dont think UKO are the sort to do that. damn I stll pay £30 for 2mb, even tho now my contract is up, and the price is now £25 for the same package.

OMg.

You should quit and sign up again to get 8 mb for that price. If you can do that.

My speeds have increased slighly for some reason a good thing.

usually in my router status page, it reports downstream speed as 2048kbps and upload as 256kbps.

Now it is constantly reported as downstream speed 2336kbps and upload as 288kbps

no I am not in a LLU area, so cant receive anymore than 2mb. but I can get ADSLmax now, but seeing the problems people have had with that, I can do without it.

£30 was a decent price at the time, plus no setup fee. I will either regrade to 1mb, or go elsewhere.
