I've been offered an installation of FTTP by a local company (RunFibre), whereas currently we only have FTTC and speeds of around 13Mbps. We live in a rural area, and Openreach currently say that they are building in our exchange on the map on their site, but seemingly have no plans for our postcode.
If I take up RunFibre on their offer then I have to take out a 2 year contract which seems fair enough, but after those 2 years are up then what are my options? Can other ISPs supply us using the fibre cables which RunFibre will have installed? Or will we be locked into a monopoly with RunFibre without paying to have additional cables installed?
