ISPs by Host Supplier ?

Is there anywhere I can check which ISPs use which supplier, such as Entanet and Murphx ?

If I decide to move away from an ISP because I want to test if its the supplier that's the problem there would be not point in moving to an ISP that uses the same company....

Damn...I looked at that list...never thought of clicking on them to find out if it contained the supplier details...DOH!

Thanks Titan.....

You can also use the 'Search' link at the top of each list and sort by vISP Supplier. Just be aware that ISPs don't generally keep us up to date with who supplies them and many vISPs use several different suppliers for different packages, which adds to the confusion.

Thanks Mark...yes I noticed that. ADSL24 list Murphx and Entanet when as far as I know they only use Murphx now....or so they say. Still, its a great detailed list and much appreciated

We used to soley use Entanet at one stage but now use Murphx, O-bit & Vispa as our main offerings.

Its interesting as my reason for asking what suppliers ISPs use was because of my ISP changing from Entanet to Murphx. I have had no problems to speak of until begining to get disconnects in the last couple of weeks a few months after the switch to Murphx...which many other users complained off when the switch happened. No logical reason...kit is the same although I changed modem and filters to be on the safe side even though, in my case, I KNEW that wasn't the problem. To be fair you read many views on either supplier...and ISPs for that matter and some have a good experience and others have a bad one.

Most times it is the BT line and I know I have a slightly suspect one but never this problem. But I go for days/weeks without a disconnect then 3-4 a day for several days ..then its fine again. never happened with BT Business line i had before or to be fair Entanet. Things change I know its really difficult to pin down the fault in this sort of thing. ADSL24 have provided good support to me to be fair and since my last ticket everything sems to be OK. I did offer to use a MAC to try another supplier just as a fault finding exercise..on a months contract. It wasn't a threat just an elimination exercise and I would return if the problems were still there but then everything was working fine. So I'm afraid I do suspect Murphx in my case. There has been no suggestion that they kicked BT as such but you never know. And the fear factor in getting BT out and them finding no fault on any intermittent problem and then charging £200 for the pleasure is a factor in all this.

I assume your on the C&W LLU murphx offering?
It actually wouldn't be ISP related with the disconnects but more down to line itself or jumpering ect ect, what generally happens with C&W is if you see instability on your line they will raise the SNR margin to see if that rectifies the issue, after which you will most likely need an engineer booked to diagnose the problem.
