Joining Plusnet - read this first!

this problem first happened last Wednesday and rectified itself four hours later. then on Saturday it happened again. I have various acounts and it is only on one account that the email delivery has failed. I got one monumentally silly answer and then another one that did not solve the problem. This is not a connection problem or a general email problem. This failure only happens on one account. The ticket reference is 36801513.

Thanks, I've now replied to your ticket in detail. I'll be conducting tests over the coming week or so, however I've been unable to find any server side issues specific to the mailbox you're having problems with.

Because of severe movement difficulties I had booked a computer man to come in this afternoon and carry out any changes recommended by plusnet. I can hardly use fingers etc. Very restricted.. But plusnet just go on ignoring me so I've had to cancel this appointment.

As above, take a look at my response to your ticket and give me a prod if you've any questions.

I stand by my original observation though in that I can't find any problems with your account at this side :(

I've suggested a few other things that you can try on your support ticket and have credited your account with a month's free service for your troubles.

Let me state my thoughts

The first reply I got from the technical section was wholly silly, it had no relationship to the stated problem, giving me the impression it was a. "Oh, send him No.27 from the book. Now back to sleep."

Then I was left in the dark for over two days and only got a response when I complained.

Bob, had I received the helpful and excellent reply and service you have personally given me I wouldn't be so darn angry and completely fed up with plusnet. It was your helpful and thoughtful reply that gave us the clue to solve the problem

So to you, Bob, I say an unreserved thanks

No, not yet Bob.

I have a large whacking stick ready, either to beat plusnet, or my computer, man over the head lol

As I said, I decided that at the moment to 'cancel' that offending account.

As the Bible says, "If thine eye offends thee, cut it out," lol

Not sure I ever will get to the root of what was going on, but as I have so much work to catch up on, life is too short to worry. Lots of editors waiting for my purple prose.
