keep away dont be Stuck In The Corner With Biscit & V21

WARNING KEEP AWAY FROM THE NEW V21 / BISCIT PARTNERSHIP
DUE TO ALLEDGEDLY IMPOSING RIDICULOUS FEES.
like others i am stuck up a corner with Biscit and v21 how on earth can we get away from this terrible situation we have been put into?.
No replys from customer service , technical support, basically cannot get in touch to cancel my account.

My thought is cancel your direct debit direct with your bank , write to Biscit and tell them what you have done.

None of us should be charged with the £70 £75termination fee (day light robery) PLUS £35 mac code fee (plus vat?)

Biscit have even stopped v21 customers logging in to there own account, going onto the forum etc etc.

Its time to say good bye to Biscit.

As others have done i have contacted Watchdog but it will possibly be pushed to one side so all you v21 dissapointed customers contact watchdog the more the merrier.

I did mention this on the v21 forum but is now deceased.
Cheers

Hi, You should send a letter to the following two address, telling them, in accordance with section 16 of the V21 T/C which you signed up to when you first joined V21 you do not accept these new terms and conditions and wish to terminate your contract and you are giving them 28 days notice form the date of your letter ( make sure you date your letter).

Why the two address? I am not sure if the old V21 address is still active.

Make sure you send your letter,s by registered post.

Note you only have 7 days to do this so do it today and post on Monday 1st Class. Also you could consider cancelling your DD or Credit Card Payment.

The v21 forum has now been restored but the members login page is still not accessible.

I too have been trying to cancel my account but as you have said - no answer to emails, no answer to phones - its impossible.

Dear All,

I have been having serious problems with this company. Been with v21 for two years and no problems, now since it has changed to BISCIT it has been a total disaster.
I did not had internet connection for a whole day. Last week it was a total nightmare to get on the internet. it worked for an hour then dead again. Contacted Biscit Left so many messages no one got back to me. Found out they have taken two high amount of payments nealry 3x more both times. Tried to call accounts dep. and it was closed or no one there to answer. During normal working hours.

Left voice mail and sent e mails nothing. How can i try and cancel this rip off service. Who else can i contact to make a complain. HELP!!!!

I have a kind of related question....

Would anyone know where the line is between a clerical error and theft?

I can accept that sometimes errors and mistakes do happen....
BUT....With the amount of times its been mentioned with Biscuit taking multiple amounts from people.....

Is anyone in a position to answer this without getting into any trouble?

I would definitely stop your Direct Debit as a priority - it's a lot easier to halt payments and then pay them if you owe them then get overcharged and then try and get it back. I've had a number of isp's over the years and I always stop my d.d.s as soon as I give them notice - not with the idea of ripping anyone off, I will pay what I owe as soon as I receive an accurate final bill, but isp's do have a terrible habit of forgetting to tell their accounts depts of cancellations and often overcharge - and then it can be a nightmare trying to get it back. And from what I've heard of Biskit so far I wouldn't trust them to get it right. Did someone mention £105 cancellation and MAC fee - I would definitely being arguing the legitimacy of that one with them and I'd prefer to be doing it with the money in my account rather than theirs.

The Sale of Goods Act must apply to Biscit. I've informed my local Trading Standards office. In addition, I've complained to VISA. If Biscit were to lose their credit card facility they would be dead in the water.

I think it would take a bit more than a few credit problems for their facilities to be recinded.
But any pressure would be a help for you.
