I took afvantage of Mageia ro load Pirate bay into the search bar of Firefox and went looking for Calon lan the welsh hymn. It is about 100 years old, little did i suspect what I wasn't going to find.

And I only just got a TIVO from them. Good job I haven't used it. I would be shelved with a 12 months contract if I had. (It was just a glodified freee to air antenna that they want not too many quid for.) WTF gave them the right to stop Pirate Bay showing me links to a Century old Welsh hymn?

What exactly should the arrangement be with a customer if they want access to Pirate Bay or any of the less savoury sites?
I don't appear to get a great deal of difficulty watching Rod Stewart Sailing or even Johnny Cash being Hurt via my present ISP despite not paying for the privilege.

The major ISPs are all forced, by court orders, to block access to sites that have been found to significantly infringe copyright. The alternative is to either go with a smaller ISP that isn't covered by the order (they wouldn't have the money to implement such things) or perhaps use a VPN or Proxy Server service to bypass the ISP's filtering.

I use Maxthon as my browser for blocked sites, which lets you enter a proxy server in its settings.
