I can't remember if it cost anything to join their free service but I left off switching from AOL to the free one because of their bad rep. Then they butchered AOL so I thought: "As I'm out of work, WTHN?"
Now they want 90 quid from me for disconnecting. I had to leave them as I moved to premisses where the ISP is BT. Any ideas?
When I signed up for TT, I asked the Foreign Office if they would handle the switch from AOL to the TT line and they said they would. I have just noticed after all this time that AOL has still been billing me some £9.00 odd per month.
I hate to look to see how long that's been going on for. It would be a nice bonus if I can claw it back.
I don't suppose I'll get much joy chasing that one up. The moral of the story is check your stupid bank statements, stupid.
