Lebara WiFi Calling and 4G Calling (VoLTE) is now available

It’s a bit of a faff but I was able to enable VoLTE and WiFi calling on a Moto G50 with Lebara as follows:
  • Installed the VoWiFi app. It’s free, from the Play Store, doesn’t require root and has adverts. Other similar apps may be available.
  • Launched VoWiFi and see that WiFi calling is not enabled and the slider to enable it is greyed out.
  • Disabled the SIM in “SIM preferences” in Android Settings. Where this setting is may vary from one Android implementation to another.
  • Go back VoWiFi and the WiFi calling slider is now available. Slide it to the “on” position.
  • Re-enable the SIM where it was disabled previously in Settings.
  • Go back to VoWiFi and see if the “on” setting for WiFi calling has persisted, if so, you should now have WiFi calling enabled.
I need to repeat the procedure every time I get an Android update.

Whether this works on Pixels or other Android phones I don't know, but it did the trick for me!

Especially valid with 3g switch off, it's probably too small a number for Google to care and Lebara won't be fussed. Such a shame too,I keep sending feedback on my Pixel about this and I'd ask others do the same continually, the work in that patch needs permanently implementing rather than having to apply it after each update. These aren't bargain basement phones after all.

Just had a support chat with Lebara who told me this:
Sorry to inform you but the Wi-Fi calling contract has been canceled by the Google company with us and due to that reason you are not getting the option.
Not too sure what to make of that!

It works fine on my iPhones.
In fact I may never purchase an Android phone again until Google fix this WiFi calling and 4G/5G voice issue.

It's only a pixel issue is it not? There's more to android than Pixel

The issue isn't with the Pixel, it is with the carrier settings that don't turn on those features, something that Vodafone/Lebara need to fix. As usual with these sorts of issues, getting the problem report to someone who can do something about it is next to impossible as first line support just read from scripts.

WiFi calling. I have a dual sim Motorola, Lebara and Vodafone (to which Lebara customer service refer to) says the handset is not supported. It works and is available when the Three sim is selected.
It's all down as far as I understand it to the carrier as has been stated already.

That’s why I switched to an iPhone from a Sony Xperia. It seemed to be the only phone that was guaranteed to to work with wifi calling.

Yeah, it seems like a misunderstanding between Lebara and Google, probably $$$.
The technical requirements are certainly already met as both volte and vowifi work just fine once you tune some system settings, but I will agree of course that average Joe won't be able to do this.

Was told by both Vodafone and Lebrara that 5G will have no plan in Telford for next 12 months. (I do prefer say NO to merger from Vodafone with Three cos Vodafone won't care!)

Hi all, spoke to lebara though chat, told them VoLte doesn't work and isn't a option on my 5g phone but via a sky sim it is, they said they open a tech question and get answered in 48hrs, and that's it never heard again from them, all searches suggest it's available but not on my sim

How long have you had the sim?

What phone do you have? I have a Motorola One Action and despite VoLTE working on Three and EE based networks (Sky runs on EE O2) it doesn't work on any Vodafone based networks like Lebara, this is because either Vodafone has to approve which phone can connect to their IMS (the connection that VoLTE runs on) or because my phone doesn't include Vodafone's IMS profile, it could be a similar situation for you
