Lebara WiFi Calling and 4G Calling (VoLTE) is now available

What phone do you have? I have a Motorola One Action and despite VoLTE working on Three and EE based networks (Sky runs on EE O2) it doesn't work on any Vodafone based networks like Lebara, this is because either Vodafone has to approve which phone can connect to their IMS (the connection that VoLTE runs on) or because my phone doesn't include Vodafone's IMS profile, it could be a similar situation for you
Sky manage their own IMS too independent of O2... Just saying :)
Hi I got samsung A53 5g.
Make sure you've had the Lebara SIM longer than a week. This is how long it takes for VoLTE to enable.

Is that an Android issue?

My Lebara sim had volte and VoWiFi working from day one, but I did have the sim in an iPhone which does support network features far better than most android phones, I suppose.

No, it’s a Vodafone thing. They may have changed it by now im not sure, since my VOXI sim worked immediately too.

Must be sorted then, I only got the sim yesterday (£1 a month 15GB for 6 months offer) and immediately turned on VoWiFi which worked, I checked VoLTE about an hour later and it was working.

I'd bet it's the classic android fragmentation issue. One of the reasons I moved to iOS. Less stress and faff.

I don't recall when I signed up to Lebara but it's worked fine in an iPhone from day one.

ASDA Mobile also did this, two weeks wait I think they suggested? Not sure why given every other network doesn't do that. Does it take that long for the steam boiler to warm up?

I'm thinking of moving to iPhone for my next phone. Google keep chopping and changing things (their podcast platform is the latest to get binned) and I don't have the time or energy to keep up with what they want to do this week.

I regret it.

I regret it.
I'm in a WhatsApp group chat with all iPhone users and they questioned me why I won't move to iPhone..

I had a 3GS when I was really young and the app compatibility didn't seem great. Some of the Android apps I currently have is really important to me and they're not available on iPhone.

As an example, I had to install Shelter the other day since the Pixel doesn't have dual apps and I want to keep Signal on my number as well as a +1 number I have.

My iPhone just does things I don’t like without me telling it to.
It also was not worth what I paid at all, it’s a joke of a piece of hardware for the price.

Only good thing is the battery life. Unplugged at 8am today, been at work so on wifi for most of it granted, but still got 85% left as of right now (14:53).

I know what you mean, but it does just "work" and that's the reason I got fed up with Samsung and left after using Android for 10+ years

Face ID is seamless, Roaming works more reliably, Networks support iPhones earlier (VoLTE roaming doesn't work on Android devices from Three Ireland, only Apple ones for some reason)

I just generally find it more reliable, and in a weird way it feels pretty secure

I did the same after years of Android and before that Windows Mobile.

It was VoLTE that “just works” that was the deciding factor for me. I wish I’d done it sooner.

Thought it would be Android, it’s a bit of a s**t show with no way of telling what phones will work and which won’t (even different firmware versions of the same model), there are even some Android phones that will work on Vodafone but not on Lebara.

There is no easy answer for why it won’t work for you.

Lebara VoLTE and VoWiFi still not working on Pixel phones. I don't think they're ever gonna fix it. And now that Vodafone has turned off 3G, your Pixel will fall back to 2G to make calls. Brilliant. There is a hack to get it to work, but I hardly ever make regular phone calls, so I can't be bothered.

But hey, £1/month for 15GB... can't complain.

Have you downloaded the latest feature drops? New reports in today saying VoLTE now works.
