Line of site test website

Been considering moving my Voda sim over to EE, contract finishes 20 sept. This morning I used cellmapper and google maps to find the coordinates of the local EE masts. Then I used this website to see if I can get clear LOS, passed on both masts so PAYG sim ordered.

Once you have set the lat & long of both points you get an initial reading based on 0m height, you then adjust the height for the mobile mast and then you can set the antenna height to give LOS.

On the furthest but best EE mast I got LOS as soon as the mast was set to 5M, adding 7m as my antenna height just improved the figures.

I look down on both masts ;) .

Oh that site is very handy, thanks for sharing and good luck with EE!

I've used this one .. https://link.ui.com/#
That was what told me that never in a million years could I be connected to a mast at the location that originally Cellmapper showed ..

Registered the EE PAYG sim card, tested with my Dish antenna connected to a B715, the best mast with Band 1,3 (35 mhz), 20 was showing as LOS but some trees have put paid to that, just can't stay locked to it for more than 5 sec. However I have an excellent signal to a Band 3 (20mhz),20 mast and getting 65mbs DL and 40mbs UL 4G+ which is triple the Voda. Swopped the Three sim out of the B715 to a B525 set to Band 20 and 32 to add a further 50mbs DL and 5mbs UL (using Yagi array, if I add a dish to this it will be better).

The Draytek is load balancing at 113mbs DL 43mbs UL using both connections.

so what you're saying is, if i'll go ahead a buy a £30-50 vigor on ebay with 3-4 wans and connect all my unlimited plans, will i get more then 2.5gbps??

what are you guys doing to me? i've just managed to get me a 2.5gb lan home setup

Lots of ifs and but's, but if you are surrounded by 5G masts then yes its possible ;)

Before I put the EE sim in the 4G router I put in my Pixel 3a and stood at the best signal point and got 50mb. So my Draytek could have latched onto the pixel WiFi hotspot as a 3rd WAN giving me 163mb DL.

Does this speed show in speedtests?
Most of the time on mine it shows combined speeds but only shows the first network that connected, about 1 in 10 only one WAN will connect which I think is a Draytek issue where it just forgets to line balance or one of the WAN's has a high ping when you hit the button and the fallover comes into effect.

I doubt the Vigor can push 2.5 Gbps.
Also, this kind of aggregation only works with certain workloads that are multithreaded, like P2P downloads for example.
