Our local mast which went live at the end of September isnt currently listed on cellmapper

How does it get listed on the site?
Does EE (the only tenant) need to list it?

I dont have access to mastdata so dont know if its listed on that site

Post code is IV6 7QQ (remote so covers a wide area!)

Hi JTscotland,

All the data found on cell mapper is added by users of the cellmapper app.

It tracks the cells and uploads all the found cell data.

It can be downloaded from google, not sure if it's available in the Apple App store.

Cellmapper (Google Play Store)

Go on add the data yourself, you know you want to.

AS Wee Bear suggests, download the app to your phone, register and login and then go for a ride with the app enabled. Go around the mast as close as the roads permit so the app gets enough data to triangulate its position. Then go to the website on a PC, login and move the mast position to its exact position as the triangulated position will be out.

With regards to moving the mast manually, you need to have uploaded 50,000 points before you can do this. Otherwise it will return to the original position next time you visit the website.

unfortunately this app is not available in apple store so looks like a non-starter
Not at all, now you'll just need to get an Android phone. :giggle:

I have enough points loaded so can move it to wherever JTL wants.

Another piece of info I got from the Cellmapper team is that if you have Cellmapper running in the background & use another app to run a speed test, it can harness the data & add it to the cell info.

No joy, seems the ones I moved before worked as the points were from my data. Tried to move this one but no joy, strange as the EE one it must be shared with is in the correct position.

Ah right, well I have a while yet before I reach 50,000 points lol.

The other network I believe in the clock tower is Vodafone strangely enough.

Anyway, thank you very much for trying kommando828, much appreciated. (y)

Oh dear, something afoot here now, just lost 4G and switched over to H+.

Yuk, speeds are next to nothing at the moment.

What are the 5G mentions here via cellmapper again?

The 5G mentions don't appear for me on 4G.

Just curious, I'm sure someone told me before but being old, I've forgotten.

Phew 4G is back now. (y)
