London riots

I think after news reports of recent weeks, that my claim of 3 generations of feral families, and hence feral grandparents is being proven.

I think the media and government just throw blame for any incident to specific groups depending on the time of the month.

I personally find this country and those in charge of it become bigger hypocrites by the day, quick to condone others of their actions not so quick when those in charge or those that work for those in charge do the same.

The whole MP expenses thing and how little jail time some of them are doing for stealing thousands compared to the OTT prison terms someone who say stole a loaf of bread during the riots was the start. Now we have another situation which is likely to blow up into something more...

A recent example being (and to go off on a tangent a bit) a few of our soldiers that tortured people. Anywhere else in the world with soldiers that do that and they are tagged with the "T" word and hunted down. Here they get a slap of the wrist rather than a 1000 yard sniper shot as punishment.

I guess the next thing we can look forward to is another bunch of fundamentalist nut jobs causing destruction because of that :( of course that will just be labelled as more "criminality" or the dreaded "T" word though.

Its sickening if i could afford to emigrate from here and go live somewhere that worries about its own country and its own residents first, like any sensible ruled country does id be gone in a flash. Im personally ashamed in this day and age to be British.

We are becoming more (actually id say we have surpassed them) ignorant than America with its we do no wrong, we are elite type attitude.

The whole mentality of this country started around the Blair era and has continued to get worse since (no matter which party is in power) co-incidentally its the generation that grew up for a fair chunk in his rule that were involved in the rioting.

Not that a simple and obvious observation like that will tell Cameroon or any MP from any party anything nowadays, cos they are all to stupid to see it.

to be quite honest, it just seems to me that these riots couldnt have come at a better time for Cameron, tho slowly but surely all this blame throwing and trying to find a scapegoat ppl are starting to see his lies...

first it was youths, then its was criminals who already had records and now they are blaming whole families.. but thats nothing new, the way l see it he doesnt care who did it he just needs someone to blame which will allow him to use it as an excuse to rally the public under one issue, lets face it not one of us approved of the riots and he is using that to keep ppls attention away from the real issues.

take the NHS, he plans to privatise that which will break up the NHS as we know it and his most recent idea of taking benefits away from parents whos kids wont go to school and piling up fines just shows me one major thing... he doest think of us as ppl, we are walking wallets who pay for them to bog off on holiday and doss off... cant remember where l saw the article but some of our MPs miss nearly a third of the years important votes in parliament!! and these are the scrounging politicians that live off our tax money paying themselves a 6 digit salary.

TBH we could solve this problem really quickly if repeat offenders were Neutered/Spayed.

A few generations and everyone would be really well behaved.

The only problem with your repeat offenders solution is that although many involved in the rioting were repeat offenders, there were equally a few that were not. Some of the sentencing also particularly of those that didn't smash or burn things has been totally over the top. Some have even been given suspended sentences doing nothing at all, IE no smashing, no burning, no thieving. There is reported case of one person accused of stealing food, even though after being tackled to the ground by police they produced the till receipt to show they purchased it... They still got taken to court and were given a suspended sentence... Thats insane!!

You would think by now this country would had learned handing out harsh punishment to minor offences or even worse convicting the wrong people whilst the real criminals often get off lightly leads to people having even less respect for the law of the land.

A good couple of examples are the motorist, which in recent times has became nothing more than an additional revenue generating device. Or in certain areas of the country people being fined or taken to court because they forgot to put a tin can in the right wheelie bin. Or even worse fined or locked up for dropping something as minor as a sweet wrapper or cigarette butt in the street.

I seriously doubt those people have much respect for the law either now, especially in the second example. I find it quite ironic how our MPs bash on about dictatorships around the world when things like that are happening right here on our own doorstep. Still i don't suppose they feel like overthrowing there selves ;)

I agree with a lot of what you say.

Perhaps we should include cheating on Government expenses in the list of de-nadding offences, along with police corruption.

A bit harsh, he didnt exactly ask for this situation did he.

But as a Tory myself, I suppose I do have a biased opinion.

Could be worse, we could be ruled by Obama.

Only if he overthrows HM Queen Elizabeth, and I suspect that might jeopardise the special relationship between us and the states.

Oh god don't get me started on that. Police investigating there selves over accusations of corruption, bribery and similar. Our government harping on about how terrible the likes of Rupert Murdoch and company are chucking around accusations of certain things with no evidence even though our PM employed one of his crooked crones. I don't know if its just abuse of power or if they are really that damned stupid that they think they are doing no wrong but others are.

I don't think it would make much difference, over the past 20 years or so it appears whatever is fed to Americans to keep them thick as short planks has found its way into a large part of this countries food chain, media and must actually be in the water supply to parliament.

Forget about the uprising of fundamentalism. America and its attitude as a whole which we have inherited is the biggest threat to this planet. One day if not careful we are going to pick on the wrong country (probably China, currently) and we will all disappear into a giant nuclear dust cloud. Thankfully for now they seem to have the sense to realise they are nothing more than bullies and have picked on those they can out number, overpower and concentrate on robbing them of their resources, be them oil or precious metals. Sooner or later though due to their stupidity they are gonna pick on the wrong country again. Perhaps Iran or India again when they forget once again they are nuke powered now.

its not harsh at all, if anything its right on the mark. for example Cameron was called back from his holiday to deal with the riots and if l remember correctly he was in Africa? he spent three days sending out soundbites then went back on holiday again to Cornwall..

then theres the NHS, he is systematically trying to privatise the country while we the public have to deal with the consequences.. we didnt ask for it, if anything should be fixed its the bosses who claim £400 for £2s worth of batteries or £100 for a bottle of bleach from adsa.. then you have the banks still paying themselves up to £2000 a day.. we bailed them out yet they are still paying themselves more than they are worth!! and this is RBS who had the biggest portion of the bailout we are talking about.

besides how can we trust a PM who at the first sign of trouble throws his colleges out to dry, the recent hacking scandal is prime example.. the most recent soundbite l caught was his ideal of building a education system based on real excellence... more like real wallets, but since we are being run by millionaires who have no idea about how to survive on little money l guess it doesnt matter to them that ppl like myself end up living on noodles day in and day out just so we can afford to pay the bills.

I do not even think any of this needs to be an argument or debate about which party or PM has done a good or bad job. Its quite clear in the past few years they are all basically as clueless as each other.

Some of the idiotic things the likes of Blair, Brown, Cameron and Clegg have said in statements to the media as a whole shows they cant think for there self and listen to clueless advisers... Or i hope that is what it is otherwise they are more stupid at times than i first imagined.

All of them remind me of the Rowan Atkinson/Griff Rhis Jones "President's Speech" Sketch.

"crumbly candy bars!!"

The whole lot havent got 2 brains cells to rub together.
