Looking for a good router with 4G fail over capability

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a good router for a gfast service that has 4G fail over capability. I believe the gfast modem will be included with the service installation, so any ethernet router should do the job.

The idea is that is the WAN connection using gfast goes down, the 4G service picks up automatically. Are there devices between £50 to £100 ish that can do that job well?

@uknowiama, I think you might have misunderstood Alex's question. He's looking for a G.fast capable router that not only supports a 4G service (usually a dongle plugged in via the USB port) but can handle fail-over if the fixed line broadband goes down.

As there aren't many G.fast routers on the market and it's a fairly young market then this one is a bit tricky to answer. In any case it'll be more than £100.

I have a Draytek dual wan router, it can load balance or do fail over between the 2 wan's. I have 2 4G routers as the wan's but as long as the G fast router has bridge mode one of the wan's could be G fast. Last Draytek 2925ac I bought second-hand was £40.

I'm giving up on the modem/router single option as openreach is still installing their gfast modems, so I can get around using a regular router with 4g capabilities. Price wise, Draytek is a bit far from my budget, I think you were pretty lucky to get a 2925ac for £40, bargain!

I've been looking at D-Link DWR-953 as accordingly to the manual, it can do automatic failover to 4G and it has a builtin 4G modem, so no need for dongles. £89 at the moment on amazon.
