I’m looking to switch a talktalk landline to VOIP. It’s business number so it’s important nothing goes wrong. The internet to the premises is pathetic with speed test of 12.8 down / 0.74 up. I have purchased a TP link MR600 router and with a three sim this manages around 20 / 5-8. I was looking to go with Andrews & Arnold for VOIP.
I have a few questions if anyone would be kind enough to help? I know some of the questions could be answered by A&A but figured I will ask anyway in case anyone can give any insight.
I want to purchase a Grandstream HT802. Can anyone recommend the best place to purchase one? Will A&A provide the required settings, or can anyone advise me of them? I have found some information but it’s hard to decipher.
I want to use one of the ports on the HT802 to run a cable and replace my incoming connection at the master socket. The reason for this is having an auto dialler alarm linked to the socket. Is this easy to do and can anyone advise me what cable is required and how the wiring works?
Will VOIP work with a 4G+ router giving the speeds listed above?
I’ve been on A&A website and can see the setup cost and monthly cost. Optional features are listed as no additional cost. Are these easy enough add? Does anyone know how the call recording works? We have a unit that allows recording at the press of a button, for use if we get an abusive or scam call and I would like to retain this ability.
I would like to test the service before porting the number over. Can the number porting be later, or does it have to be at time of order?
I would like a service that is also linked to my mobile, so I can answer calls if the office is closed and see call logs etc. Is this catered for?
Is there any way I could lose my landline number, such as if A&A went bust?
Many thanks in advance.
