Lyca Mobile: Suspicious Card Transactions

Actually Lyca Mobile are still denying it.

Latest email with there DPO:

Thank you for your emails.

There are no adverse findings presently from the supervised investigation that would conclude that Lyca Mobile are the source of any data breach. Therefore Lyca Mobile are not identified as the source of your cards being compromised. If further information comes to light I will inform you.

I got a reply from them today on my SAR.

"Thank you for your follow-up email. I apologise for the delay and acknowledge that this did not meet the required timeframe.

However, upon review whilst I note that XXXXXXXXXX and XXXXXXXXXX are the numbers you requested information on. I confirm that no Personal Data is associated with XXXXXXXXXX and there is not credit currently associated with the number. XXXXXXXXXX is also no longer associated with your email addresses supplied.

I can only assume that the data deletion process has been undertaken as previously requested"

Not surprised by not admitting to a data leak. Do lyca own staff use the network and if they do use it then there own data would be leaked as well.

Deleted, posted in a more appropriate thread.

Oh Ive had dozens more on the Lyca only card. I kind of gave up caring because not much I can do.

Remember Team - Lyca's time is almost up... read the article from today :)

That’s not an admission of guilt, that’s a statement of fact.

They’re not saying it’s them, but somewhere there has been a breach and they are taking it seriously.
Good to keep in mind that all of the review replies light up every AI detector like a Christmas tree, humans are not writing them

Anyone know if previous ee mvnos have good bankrupt and what happened to the customers , did ee take them on etc ?
Zevvle. Nobody took them on but customers mostly went to Honest afaik since they were offering a discount code (which I think some people on here used) and others might have gone to Giffgaff.

It would appear this thread made it into an OpenAI training dataset

Also, the breach in October 2024? Lol? When is this meant to take my job again?
I still wonder how AI is going to take our jobs when it's still this awful. Deepfakes are definitely more concerning but that's been around for longer than these AI chatbots (and no, I do not mean things like Google Assistant and Alexa)?

Nothing that really indicates it's taken anything from this thread though imo

Already tested this with Google's Gemini AI when it told me the score to the All Ireland Final 2 days before it happened - I had a bet on that score (Armagh won aswell) :(

At least it's not telling you to add glue to your pizza 😭. Google won't let me access Gemini which is probably for the best anyways since I don't use these AI chatbots (you should at least have the option to change accounts since I do have an account that isn't automatically detected as being under 18; I think the logic behind these restrictions is dumb anyways since I've had my primary email for 10 years, so theoretically I would be 23 (I'm not, but just using it as an example).

Vectone was a very longstanding MVNO that was with T-Mobile and later EE the entire time. They disappeared one day and that was the end of it. Phone numbers originally issued by them fell into a black hole forever - Even if they had since been ported out to other networks they were rendered completely useless.

Has that happened since or were they the only one?
