Absolutely abysmyl service, their livechat passed me to about 5 people in the space of 2 minutes and they were saying "As you're not there I'm going to end the chat" finally they say come back in 2 hours.

On the phone they say oh technical issues or something, and it's a priority even though they've had 0 details from me?

What a sh*tshow!

Paid for a product that I literally haven't received.
Lebara on the otherhand was very straightforward and worked out of the box.

"You have insufficient credit to make calls", I can't login on their systems, login button does nothing on multiple browsers, apparently they're having a "global outage".

What does "empty" mean here?
The bundle I paid for is not tied to the sim.

Is the SIM activated?
It should be as I paid for the uSwitch £1.95 Bundle and when I put the sim into anything it just says no balance/bundle, supposedly it's not just me either if you check the downdetector status, lots of people having the same issue.

I haven't been able to log into myLyca this weekend and same today. OTP texts are not being sent and using password results in "Internal Error". Will just have to wait for them to resolve.

That probably explains why I can't order an eSIM at the moment, the email verification emails aren't being sent either.

They have now acknowledged they have some problems it seems.

This happened to me two months ago, It took them nearly two weeks to fix it and I left soon after as they kept deleting my mailbox. Doesn't surprise me that they still Havant fixed the issue.

Well TBH this is for my father, he has an in-car Android thing with Sat Nav built in (google maps) so it requires data to function (he can't be doing the hotspot trick every time on his iPhone).
Stuck his Phone on Lebera for £5 a month and then Lyca £1.95 for 3 months then £4.90 I think for 6GB for a Huawei CarFi.

If all else fails I'll get another Lebera sim, logic was don't put all eggs in one basket.
(And have atleast Wi-Fi calling on the Lyca/EE connection then Lebera to fall back on).

But yeah, first impressions of Lyca is: Don't use them for anything you need to rely on.
(In car Mi-Fi isn't really critical for us lol)

Why use Lyca when there's 1pmobile? Both run on EE but 1pmobile belongs to EE and offers a better service/deal. Lyca offers eSims so it can give you a second line on an iPhone or Pixel but they're pants. They switched providers from O2 to EE without even telling anyone in advance.
