Lying Gets At Talk Talk

My Talk Talk freebroadband Talk3 has never got any faster than my original 512k service.

I never got a new modem they said my( original 512k service ) Sagemf@st 800 e2t was fast enough..

On speaking to dismissive Tech support i was Told "who said I could get upto 8 Meg service" ( well Talk Talk at sign up! and their Tech support previously )
They said my exchange wasnt upgraded yet and could take upto next year !

Yet using online Max asdl checkers tell me my exchange ( Cheetham Hill ) is already Max asdl ready and its status is green !

Who do i complain to Over these lying bunch of illegitimate Snake oil Sellers ..

Have talked to these ****Holes again

Well have spoke with them on the phone yet again , and complained to a supervisor That Bt says my exchange is already upgraded for Max Adsl ..

He said they dont use Max adsl they use LLu xdsl , and my line is only adsl enabled..

He then told me what site they use to check

http://www.samknows.com/broadband/checker2.php

I of course typed it in with my right hand as he spoke to me , then my details and what do you know ! my exchange is enabled ! Arrr says he I need to select LLU xdsl from the summary list .
And low behold ! under carphonewarehouse it should be available from 31st august 06 ! its 5th sept 06 today ... And his answer was well it should get faster over the next 3 weeks !!!!!

So would you buy a car from these Horse sellers ? :(

While your not on their LLU system they have to pay BT more so they wont put you on the 8 meg due to it costing them to much in BT charges.

As mentioned to you, CPW use LLU not max, and the exchange information doesn't actually show CPW LLU as enabled yet.

Frustrating though it may be, the CPW LLU RFS date (31/08/06) is only an estimate and in practice is rarely an exact date.

suppose your only getting value for money eh .........

you pay nothing for the broadband and you get no service.

Something about no such thing as a free lunch springs to mind

Its diabolical service.

Speedy you're out of line taking the pi$$.

To sign up for any service and not get what you want and then get next to no help from the service provider is very frustrating.

Check out this site and speak to someone: http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/index.shtml

Problem is with these companies is they never put anything in writing to back up what they say to you on the phone and what they put in writing is so wide open for intepretation.

Hi, I eould recommend emailing Carphone Warehouse's chief executive, as they do usually act on such matters very quickly, the email address is: cdunstone@cpw.co.uk as with most carphone warehouse material, they do say they want to hear from people, if there are issues and such like which need looking at.

The problem here is that complaining is unlikely to solve the issue of getting your exchange upgraded, so that you can be placed on their LLU. As I understood it though I thought talk talk were more than happy to move users to BT Max until their LLU became availble. Maybe I'm wrong.

What you could do here is claim mis-representation, maybe the people you talk to were not clear. But maybe there is some small print on their website that cover this off, if this is the case you may have no leg to stand on.

Be glad that you have a service, there are many people out there who would bite your arm off for just 512k. (i'm not defending talk talk in anyway)
