Sorry folks if I have placed this in the wrong place, but I have a question about MAC codes.
Quick background on it:
Firstly, I was on Orange and they disconnected me for breaking their FUP, by about 4GB a month. So, I was without broadband and then they eventually sent me out a MAC code, and I then applied for another ISP and they accepted the MAC and said it would take week or two for me to be connected, fair enough.
But during this period off without any broadband, while having sent the MAC off to Fast4.net, I was somehow reconnected by Orange, then disconnected a day or two later by them, and then finally got my new ISP not long afterwards.
However I am now having problems with my current ISP, fast4.net, whom I now know have an £80 disconnection fee for new activations, and I believe £20 for migrated ones. I actually dont want to disconnect at the moment, until I have explored every avenue with them, but thats another matter I suppose.
So my question is, as my activation was done, when for the third time Orange kicked me off, my question is, does this count as a migration or new activation, as I had actually handed over the MAC code?
Sorry for the long winded post folks.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
