Massive CBT boxes on blocks of flats for FTTP

Option1: We can remove the plant and the tenants of the building will not have access to full fibre broadband.
Option 2: We can keep the plant in place and look into wayleave payments.
Did you end up with a consensus on which way to go or did Openreach come to the party with a palatable alternative?

Openreach started out really well, came out and visited the site, pretty much said from the word go that the slimline boxes were really expensive and only got used on listed buildings so there was no way we were going to get them.
They agreed to relocate some of the CBTs and install extra ones (smaller units as they were serving less premises) so that cable runs could be kept to a minimum, and locate them in more discreet locations (tucked in next to downpipes). It seemed like a good compromise and we gave the go ahead, the extra ducting was installed ready for the cables but it's been 2 months now and we're still waiting, thought we'd sorted it but we're not there yet,
I'll keep you posted

Thanks - would be good to see some photos of the discrete install eventually. Good luck!

Just been down for the day visiting Dartmouth in Devon and while walking around town clocked that Openreach fairly recently installed wall mounted CBTs on many of the buildings there. Standard CBTs too.

Reminded me of this thread. Hope the OP got sorted OK.
