When I used VF via esim.net in April SA was disabled on my plan. Do you have any examples of the reports confirming SA?

This is my iPad M4 Pro 11 inch showing 5G SA enabled using the Unlimited Sim version, with the inclusive roaming

Toyed today with the SA toggle. It seems that when SA is reported in capabilities, you are connected to SA as the speeds are much higher with the toggle on. nPerf is not reporting correctly.

And something new on my walks today around London, seems that I am connected to SA all the time.

I purchased the eSIM.net VF unlimited plan. I’m in an SA area. No luck getting connected though. I have the toggle, but my iPhone 15 Pro on 8.1 public beta sticks to NSA. I tried the manual network trick but despite FTM showing SA connected Nperf disagrees (which didn’t happen on EE SA).

I’m going to give it a bit of time to see if it kicks in.

So we are back on what I belived before, that both FTM and nPerf should say SA to be on SA? I feel that this is right and for the moment I have the same bahaviour as you on iPhone 15 with a corporate plan.

Ignore this, it’s not connecting anymore 😂 . Inconsistent and most probably it’s not SA if LTE bands appear in the list. nPerf is reporting correctly.

What I realised on iPhone, is that if you do a manual search of the network, SA is more stable.
Im
Going to say it’s SA, I’ve never seen it say just SA, in capability.. now it does.. ( this is my hope) also we need to confirm this.. they could solve all this with a carrier update to display 5g+ or something.

Is it worth a Woohoo! RainingBows?:giggle:
That was a premature Woohoo.. I didn’t read the rest of the thread.. but I’m standing firm on if it says SA in capability it’s SA.. and so far.. god no. Not worth it at all.. 😜 I do have better coverage though! Which I can’t explain.. I have 5g further inside buildings and In A basement today, couldn’t even get EDGE in there before

If you’re on SA you’d only see SA listed in the iPhone FTM next to Capabilities. In my experience though FTM can be slow to update so to be sure you should then launch nPerf to cross check. If they both report the same you’re golden.

I’m having no luck on my eSIM.net Vodafone plan as of yet. It locked onto SA after first activation for a few seconds and hasn’t shown its face since. I suspect I failed some aspect of VF’s SA verification (plan, phone type etc) and I’m locked out for now. eSIM.net’s customer support is looking into it but I’m not overly hopeful.

I think the debate we’re having is, in the FTM, if it says SA+LTE in capability , your on lte but the site supports SA and LTE, if it says SA Only your on SA,

The other side is if it says SA capabilities, but also shows 5g and lte bands below then your not on SA,

nPerf is showing SA only when FTM has no LTE bands in the list, so 5G bands and SA in Capabilities.

This is my take on it, we really need someone from Apple to confirm!

I’m on team SA in capability is SA regardless of what’s below.

Is this on iPhone 16?

Kew Gardens. This is clean SA, reported by nPerf too. Once again, when the upload part of the speedtest starts it bounces off to NSA and LTE bands appear.
But if it still says SA in capability regardless of the bands listed below how do you know you’re not on SA? ( forgive my stupidity) because I’d assume there’s other 5g/lte in the area from the same tower, and bands? Or am I being mental?
