Morecambe fttp

still nothing bar the 1 pole at the top of battismore, a couple on corringham, there is about 20 poles left to do in my area

so doing some digging, my next door neighbour can apparently order fttp as the pole they installed the cbt on last thursday is now live, im served on the next post up which hasnt been done, frustrating. why dont they do them all at the same time, like i say they have wirec coming out from the ground on the poles im guessing ready for a cbt to be attached

a little hope, half of battismore was done yesterday, hopefully the other half will be today and the last few poles on schola green

well looks like my pole is the only 1 not getting the upgrade, every pole in the surrounding streets is done but ours :(

My date is the 14th, Do you think it will be pushed back or would’ve been done by now?
You may be lucky... tbh this is BT and OR so easier to put a bet on the wheel in a casino than visits going as planned.

Got my smart hub though today so thats in now.

Got the DECT adaptor as I do not use the landland now... plan is to put it in to my server and deliver calls via SIP just so they get to us.

Its worth adding they did not add a return bag for the kit so I had to go on the website to get one at https://my.bt.com/s/apps/appsmybt/#/equipmentreturns

Remember there is no way of using/accessing BT Digital Voice without using the BT SmartHub. You cant use your own SIPbased soft phone/ATA/ etc.

You can however run another VoIP service in the manner you wish, over the top of your new broadband - but just not the BT voice service.

well, the pole im fed off has no problems and not due for replcaement as virgin have attached all there gear to the top of it, so or must of missed on purpose, iv contacted or to see if i can be connected from the next pole down from me in the opposit direction as it is actually closer to my house. not expecting anything to be honest but worth a shot.

how long was the install process? was the ont placed where you wanted? or where it was easier for them?
2 hours.

The ONT was placed where my MS was, We decided to remove the copper cable too.

I asked if I could put the ONT upstairs on the 1st floor but he said it would be an easier process if it was on the ground floor. Could’ve been done though.

He was a really nice engineer and was easy going to questions :)

cool, sounds painless really, the other houses that cant get fibre yet here have all sent questions to openreach to find out why, although with the strikes incoming not holding out much hope for response
