You are asking quite a bit. I don't have a straight answer.. but:Hi Everyone
Does anyone here have any idea which company has the most robust, fully redundant, always-on VPSs in the world?
My definition of a VPS is a broad as possible. (Some companies do not refer to their VPSs as VPSs.)
Thank you very much.
Ah, right. Windows is a problem with many providers, few bother offering it.Hi Lucian
Thank you very much indeed for your very informative reply.
I am wanting to instal a few progams on it including a SIP sever. If the server or network is shut down unexpectedly, this might interrupt a very important phone call.
The company pcextreme.com looks very interesting. However, it seem that they do not do Windows which I want.
Hi LicianAh, right. Windows is a problem with many providers, few bother offering it.
Try these guys https://www.exoscale.com/compute/
I think their CH-DK-2 data centre is in a bunker in the Swiss Alps, if you're thinking of dodging Putin.Hi Lician
Thank you very much.
Hi MeznerI'm using 6 oracle VPS,
2 are e2 micro amd64 with one CPU and 1gb ram, 4 are ampere arm64 with 6gb ram each and 200gb hard drive shared between them.
I don't trust the prime minister as his wife's company Infosys still operates in Russia even after all the sanctions.Hi Mezner
Thank you very much for your reply.
To be honest, I am somwhat reluctant to go with Oracle because of what is mentioned in the "Controversies" section of Oracle's page on Wikipedia. The worst controversy is that Oracle has assisted the Chinese miltary in their operations againt Taiwan.
Hehe, that's all the free tier, isn't itI'm using 6 oracle VPS,

No worries.. "What's in a name?.."Hi Lucian and Meritez
I have been looking again at yesterday's posts and I have discovered that in two of my posts (one each), I accidently spelled your names wrong. I am very sorry about this. I am dyslexic.
Thank you very much for your very kind understanding. No worries.. "What's in a name?.."![]()
Ha ha@tim.jtq you sure it's not auto correct playing up, mine does it all the time see @the wet bear
Ah the legendary PEBKAC,Ha ha
I was thinking about Hetzner and my dyslexic brain fused it with your name.
Hilarious!Ah the legendary PEBKAC,
At least you haven't pasted an adult website into a important email by accident.
yes, my Ashburn servers went down yesterday...Hehe, that's all the free tier, isn't it
I had a VM with them, too, in the free tier, but decided not to go ahead with using it as I think it's just a matter of time till they will limit or end this tier and then I don't want to have to spend Lord knows how much until I can migrate my stuff. Best avoided.
Also, their DC in London (Hayes) melted last summer during the 40C wave, they had a total downtime AFAIK, took them a couple of days to come back up fully if memory serves.
