It works with the Co-Op's Online banking arm (Smile.co.uk)

I use Trillian to check email. When I check my hotmail account, although I can view the emails on the Firefox browser, I cant seem to delete several emails at the same time. However, I can delete one at a time if I view each message individually.

I use a hotmail to pop3 convertor thingy ran by a friend. So I can access my hotmail just like any pop3 account :)

What I dont like is that you are unable to send a website via email from the browser - I like IE which does this with express.

u can... just right click and send page with firefox.

it's got every thing u just have to look 4 the extensions [;)]

KDS - I think that only sends the url, in IE you can send the whole page in HTML format.

I dont know about if its fixed, as I dont use it anymore. But the Java was really slow and didnt work properly.

It was better to install Java intended for IE, as it still works with firefox, and seemed to load java sites faster to me.

Just to point out that Java is not a part of IE, neither is it a part of Firefox.
The differences you have seen are between the Microsoft implementation of Java and the Sun implementation (the 'real' one).

and how would you exactly know that?

I installed the java specifically for firefox, when I already had java installed, that i got directly from the java website as a standalone install. The firefox specific java install was very slow. The normal one that also worked with IE, works fine on firefox as well.
Please dont assume things ever again  j/k.

It is true that there are different VMs being used as far as I'm aware. The Microsoft "Java" VM and the real thing from Sun.

Recognizing the need to provide a smooth transition for current users of the Microsoft® Java Virtual Machine (MSJVM), Sun Microsystems and Microsoft have agreed to extend Microsoft's license to use Sun's Java source code and compatibility test suites. This extension allows Microsoft to support the MSJVM until December 31, 2007, providing customers with the ability to transition from the MSJVM on a schedule and plan that is most effective for them.

The MSJVM will reach its end of life on December 31, 2007 ...

I use the official Sun version with FireFox without any problems.

That's the third time I've downloaded Firefox only for it to be updated within a few days! I still prefer IE.

At least they release the update as soon as it ready and not at the end of the month.
LOL, well I can't really argue about that, although 1.05 appears to have been released before it was truely ready, but even that is better than waiting months for MS to get their finger out :)

I guess the good news for dial-up users of Firefox is they intend to provide a more streamline patching system in the next version: - http://news.zdnet.com/2100-1009_22-5785672.html?tag=nl.e589
