I am not sure whatis happening but since updates I am finding it hard to receive mp3's over msn.

They are sent me i download them but then windows pops a message us saying for security of the computer windows has locked the song away and I cant listen to them.

Where would these mp3's be stored now on my computer and how can I access them. A search will not find them tried that..

prolly something new which microsoft has implemented thanks to the RIAA personally ld just upload to webspace or some kind of file hoster to transfer these days.. last MSN transfer did something similar to me with an MP3.

I have this problem too. It does delete them. Annoyingly, it downloads them first, without any warning that its going to delete them.

Oddly enough its only on my home computer, and not my work one. Both version of msn are the latest, but the work machine is XP pro, rather than home.

This is on XP pro so will have to find another way it isnt even copyrighted its mp3 mixes a friend has done...... all his own work nothing taken from anyone elses music..

I *think* this does it.

Cant try it now, as Im at work. But if its like one of the ones I have used before, its got a stupid amount of options. It does have many useful ones however, like removing the advertising on msn and getting rid of various things you may not like.

Hopefully it doesnt mess up your msn in any way, but I dont think there has been too many problems with it. You could have a look in their forums to see what its like.

Used to have this problem on OutLook, it will not allow you to up or download certain file types; can you "save as" and add a different .tag to fool it?? I used to change .exe to .jpg for the download and then change it back after it was downloaded.

When thye click to send over msn you dont get a chance to select save as will sort out a folder on my webspace for himto upload to then I will download it.. Typical MSN creating problems where none exist normally

*shakes fist at bill gates!!*
