Multiple pricing

I signed up for YouFibre in 2022, having been promised they would be installing fibre in my home in February. They are finally able to do it, some 11 months later.
I signed for a 150mb connection, at £19 month for 2 years, increasing to £30. I was given a month free as an inducement.
Today I was visited by a pair of YouFibre reps, who wanted to offer me 2 months free access (as compensation for taking a long time to finish the street cabling) and charge £22ish for 2 years, then £35 a month after. It would appear they are changing their prices all the time, as I did see a recent advert offering 150mb connections for £25 a month, after a £22 introduction period. Their current advert does not show the cost after the introductory period.
I was also told that my £30 a month charge after 2 years isn't going to be honoured.
In the mean time, my current ISP has offered me 100mb fibre for £23 a month, which being a BT pipe means I can swap ISPs to my hearts content at the end of the contract. I'm very tempted to dump YouFibre before I've used them.

I have attached the August advert for 150 fibre at £25 a month - grabbed from the YouFibre site

That screenshot looks like it's from their old site, they have changed pricing since and they have just changed their prices today!

Seems to me the way to go is to cancel your existing order and sign up through the website at £19.99 as ongoing pricing with maybe a small increase at the end due to normal cost rises. The £19.99 is not a special offer it's the standard price.

If that's not good enough and pricing is the only priority Openreach fibre and taking time to move ISPs at the end of every contract to try and stay on introductory offers indefinitely seems a plan.

The YouFibre reps who visited me yesterday showed me a leaflet with entirely different prices. As I said, they told me the standard price is now £35 a month with an introductory price of £22.

Just checked YouFibre's site and they have changed their advert to say "From Just..."

Selling broadband isn't like flogging apples down the market. This company is offering different prices to - well what - different areas, different customers?

The only way to discover the "offered" costs is to sign up. That isn't usual practice.

Here's the current advert.

The price is from on the website as that's the price for 24 months and becomes more if you take rolling contact!

So after 24 months the price would go from.£19.99 to £29.99 rolling but you can recontract.

For what it's worth - a huge chunk of providers do this (if YouFibre/Netomnia are).

It's why BT etc. makes you put your postcode in before it gives you the pricing.

I could be wrong but I think the point @Faffy is making is that YouFibre doesn't just want your postcode/address - they won't confirm the price until you register with them and provide them name, address, email, and telephone number (and you agree to their terms and conditions)

That's a distinct difference from the likes of BT who merely require your location to confirm applicable service availability.

Hmm. Seem to be doing a bit more than just confirming availability for me.

Virgin Media and others are making increased use of localised pricing, too, sometimes down to the postcode level. Welcome to the brave new world.

The prices are right on the home page for me - perhaps things have changed?

This is in a private browsing window and I haven't inputted my postcode or any other information.

it's been like that for a while, once you add the postcode details etc, then it wants your actual detail form what I can see (I guess to start the order, as you've seen pricing + packages and then checked your house - and it's available)

To be fair I didn't say "Just confirming availability".

My point was the likes of BT/Virgin will happily present you with a list of available services (and their prices) once you've confirmed your location.

YouFibre (at least when I checked last) will not unless you 'register' and provide them with your name, address, email address, telephone number and so on.

Maybe I should have worded it better.

Right, yes, I see. I'm not a fan of that either. Please excuse my confusion.

A lot of sales CRMs are filled with my junk data because I'm not supplying details just to get a price
