I am currently with Sky connect, during the day i get 7mb (max 8mb)download with 50 ping. Sadly after 3pm this is what I have to contend with. Sky at first told me it is a fault at my end. Then after numerous phone calls they said there is nothing they can do about it.
I join an independant isp next week cross my fingers & hope I get some acceptable speeds during peak times.
I've seen a lot of other reports about this, some of which claim it is due to the throttling (traffic management) on Sky's Connect package because it is their more expensive BT based option. But you're moving so I guess we don't need to spend time examining this as you'll probably find a big improvement, depending on who you chose?
Thankyou for the reply, this is my afternoon speed. I took this at 12:36 pm
I chose Naims for my next Isp, wanted to try a more independant personal provider to see if I can achieve acceptable peak time speeds. I would be happy with 2mb during peak.
