Well must say I'm well impressed so far. Good work NDO, just hope that when your cutomer base gets larger you will fully support it through new modem racks etc as this is when you start to get problems..
We already have a large customer base - we have been around for years; but regardless of customer base size - worry not, we are constantly monitoring usage of our entire network - not just the access parts and always upgrade inadvance of any problems for end users.
Whilst i'm posting to answer someone elses query regarding News - we do run news servers - with nearly 100,000 news groups now although I haven't personally counted them all - available at: news.ndo.com - no username/password needed for access.
Well I thought you had been round for a while but I thought that as an ISP you were new, well the fact that you are well advanced in the business is better for the customer cause it seems that the new ISP's are the one's failing. And again I say I am well impressed with the service, I have had several ISDN 128k ISP's and all have failed except VISPA who are more expensive but even still I had encountered daily problems I say that NDO are the best so far. Well done NDO and a happy easter to all of you!
The speeds of ADSL available depend on three factors:
1. The line distance - you need to be under 3.5km
2. The noise on the line - under about 30-40db for those speeds.
3. What equipment BT used to upgrade the exchange - not all DSLAMs support the high speeds - especially in rural areas where the depend is likely to be less - BT save a bit of money that way...
