The sooner you recognise that “unlimited” is all about marketing rather than quality, the happier you’ll be =) . Personally Zen Internet, Namesco (NDO), Vispa Internet, some of Entanet’s resellers (NewNet, UKFSN etc.) and Fast.co.uk generally tend to be rated well. There are others like Aquiss and Firefly that are worth considering too.
It helps to have an idea of how much data you’re likely to download before hand, but where possible try to steer clear of providers with vague fair usage policies and “unlimited” slogans.
Regarding wireless Internet, generally you’re unlikely to be covered by a fixed wireless ISP and Wi-Fi Hotspots are a whole other ball game. Likewise wireless routers are not related, they’re for home networking and newer mobile (phone) based broadband services tend to have tiny download allowances.
