My pin code is MK4 3BW

Are wireless internet better?

Pin code? You mean postcode?

It doesnt matter where your based, ADSL is not restricted to area.

So you can look at the lists and choose.

There is no ISP offering unlimited for a low price, beware any that say they are.

Wireless will not be better if you can get adsl.

Id have a look at Be, if your exchange supports it.

Edit: Apperently it does. Have a look at the packages here: https://www.bethere.co.uk/

Unlimited access yes but unlimited downloads is not something you can get and the few ISPs that do offer this tend to run into speed problems as pipes fill up.

Are wireless internet better?

Wireless is still new so who knows my son is using internet via his mobile contract phone, his mobile is his modem he says its fast and costs him £12.50 a month. He also said it saves him having a BT landline and all the costs that involves.

The sooner you recognise that “unlimited” is all about marketing rather than quality, the happier you’ll be =) . Personally Zen Internet, Namesco (NDO), Vispa Internet, some of Entanet’s resellers (NewNet, UKFSN etc.) and Fast.co.uk generally tend to be rated well. There are others like Aquiss and Firefly that are worth considering too.

It helps to have an idea of how much data you’re likely to download before hand, but where possible try to steer clear of providers with vague fair usage policies and “unlimited” slogans.

Regarding wireless Internet, generally you’re unlikely to be covered by a fixed wireless ISP and Wi-Fi Hotspots are a whole other ball game. Likewise wireless routers are not related, they’re for home networking and newer mobile (phone) based broadband services tend to have tiny download allowances.

Many Thanks for reply!
But i don't know which ISP listing are available in my area!

I tried to get line status through telnet but it failed!

I tried all the loops through customer service they insisted i purchase a new Modem!
I have Belkin router which has builtin modem!
I was getting about 4.5 Mbps speed but since last week it reduced to 70KB/S
I have no idea!

I am looking for unlimited connection ISP which doesn't cap download speed and does not port block!

Plz suggest me ,Is there any other alternative or the promised 8 Mbps net which gives me
70 KB/s speed is only option in my area??
Many thanks....

As you are in Milton Keknes I think you may always find a problem with adsl Max.

Most of the exchanges there are on aluminium lines and it does cause problems with low synch ,noise and connections dropping.

Good luck in your quest.
