right, currently having issues with the access point lve been allowed access to, their broadband is pretty bad and lm wondering if it is down to settings, so l shall post some stats and hopefully some recommendations might help us.

DSL Line (Wire Pair): Line 1 (inner pair)
Protocol: G.DMT Annex A
Downstream Rate: 384 kbps
Upstream Rate: 448 kbps
Channel: Interleaved
Current Noise Margin: 9.0 dB (Downstream) 13.0 dB (Upstream)
Current Attenuation: 63.0 dB (Downstream) 31.5 dB (Upstream)
Current Output Power: 14.9 dBm (Downstream) 12.4 dBm (Upstream)
DSLAM Vendor Information: Country: {0xB5} Vendor: {TSTC} Specific: {0x00}
PVC Info: 0/38

l had to reboot a day back and at that time it was around 800kbps, l did purchase an iplate which l had hoped will help but they dont seem to want to fit it T_T.

heres some stats from the modems other stats page (ones lm not familiar with as lve not used BT modems before, some of the error stuff weirds me out)

current "ATM Encapsulation" settings are Router VC-MUX, connection type is PPPoA, and the force upstream MTU is set at 1500.. am hoping there is a way to increase sync speed to at least the 800kbps mark because its got there before after being turned off for a day because at the moment they think lm causing the slowness issues T_T and since l dont control the ADSL speed l kinda need to find out why they are having these low sync issues.

Hmm have you done BT's automated line check yet? The upstream SNR seems a bit off but it's hard to tell as such things vary from line to line. I do think it would benefit from an iPlate though and you should convince them to try it since they can always be uninstalled afterwards with ease.

As for the errors, yes there's an uncommonly large amount but I'm no expert on the detail of those, except the amount of CRC's suggests problems. From this data I'd say the line should be suffering disconnections too?

not that lve noticed, altho there was just a powercut a few moments ago and amazingly we have resynced at 1088

DSL Line (Wire Pair): Line 1 (inner pair)
Protocol: G.DMT Annex A
Downstream Rate: 1088 kbps
Upstream Rate: 448 kbps
Channel: Interleaved
Current Noise Margin: 9.0 dB (Downstream) 13.0 dB (Upstream)
Current Attenuation: 63.0 dB (Downstream) 31.5 dB (Upstream)
Current Output Power: 16.5 dBm (Downstream) 12.3 dBm (Upstream)
