Need to make a call in the Three Peaks, no you can't

This is a Shared Rural Network mast, 4g only, for Vodafone, O2, and Three.

Vodafone are switching off 3G from February.

This provides vital network infrastructure and is needed for the mobile networks in the area to make and receive calls.

According to the objections GSM is all you can get in the Three Peaks as the mast will spoil the view.

Anyone wants to see GSM cope with thousands of mobiles connected, it ain't pretty.

What's that emergency services, use what three words to pinpoint my location, it's taking a while, where am I, oh in the three peaks, is there an E on my phone screen, yes there is, minutes later, shall I restart the app, still not working, GPS is taking a while, no I don't have a satellite phone.

Haven't you heard, satellite is coming to Android, so no more need for pesky masts.

Well as long as it here before the end of the year when Vodafone complete switching off 3G.
That reminds me, need to fsck off Lebara before that happens because it doesn't look like they'll enable VoLTE on Pixels.
PS: belay that, looks like magisk+voenabler sorted that out for me, 3G can go away now.
