New ISP - Ultrafi

Accidentally posted this in the wrong forum - oops!!

They offer services over Cityfibre and Openreach. Support both IPV4 and IPV6, don't know much else/haven't researched it.

I don’t think it’s fake because it’s listed as an ISP on cityfibre’s availability checker but they don’t have any prices attached to it on cityfibre’s website.

Not particularly confidence inspiring...

As per companies house the company is owned by Paul BUTSCHI, a South African. I Googled him out and according to this LinkedIn page he is Co-owner of the Cool Ideas ISP in South Africa. That's good as it shows he knows well the industry but then if you look at the reviews of this ISP it's not good:

Given that CH had issued a notice for them to be struck off and dissolved (later rescinded) would be more than enough for me to run a mile, without googling their ops in SA

To be fair, compulsory strike-off actions can occur for all sorts of reasons, albeit usually due to being late with submitting key docs. Admittedly, it's never a good look, but it also doesn't have to mean a critical problem, especially if there's no history of wider issues.

Having said that. The blank T&Cs, lack of a clear Ofcom approved complaints policy and missing support (contact) address would mean we couldn't list them. But there's also no shortage of ISPs right now, so I'm always surprised when a new one pops up.

Do you have any evidence for that Max or are you just gifting us with your standard quality posts again?

Yep. Holistically it doesn’t inspire any confidence whatsoever. Could be fine or it could be a shambles. Why risk it!?
