New Linksys router on Toob

Just spotted on Toob's site, they're now offering a new router. Looks like it's supporting WiFi6.

I wonder how locked down they have made it compared to the existing router? If you happen to have one, what's it like?

Arriving tomorrow, fibre being installed Friday so I’ll let you know. Currently have a TP-Link Archer AX10 so plan to compare the two for signal and speed and run with whichever’s best.

Router power supply doesn’t work, found another one of my own, router seems to work but no internet connection, toob call centre permanently engaged……..it’s not a great start

Took about 6hrs for the router to establish a connection and set itself up, after that everything working great. Toob came out and replaced the router due to the faulty plug. Found the performance of the Linksys router to be better than my AX10 so that’s been resigned as a back up router. Get roughly 500+ all round the house, over 800 if I stand next to the router.

Can comment on how locked down it is, don’t have anything to compare it against but everything in the app seems to be editable?

Can you create IPv6 firewall rules? That was a big limitation for me with the Sagecom router they provided, it only lets you setup IPv4 firewall rules (as far as I could see anyway).

It's a good router, I had my old Asus RT-AC68U with Virgin but gave the Velop a try when joining toob and actually really like it. Stronger WiFi, all the port forwarding and DHCP leases etc all work as expected, the WAN<>LAN performance is good too and it doesn't seem to straggle much with maxing out the line either which is great.

I expected it to be crap, but am very impressed. I have up to 31 devices connected (most are wireless but have a 16 port Gigabit switch wired in too).
