Hello,
New Build Rural dwelling - got openreach to survey in early 2022. November 2022 OR installed a Pole at the bottom of my future garden. Conduit installed into my property in February 2023.
After lots of phone wrangling - BT would only accept an order for a phone line only! It's 2023! Anyway, I pursued this course of action recommended by the BT call centre, cancel it the day after activation - then request FTTC or FTTP - whatever I could get.
I've had nothing since. An installation date was mooted of 6th March, it came and went. The really grinding bit is BT / OR never contact me. It's always myself ringing them!
Anyway, 1st May - BT claimed OR couldn't find my address, yes that after OR installed a Pole in my garden - currently in limbo - BT recommended cancelling my current order and replacing.
What an utter shambles - communication company who are diabolical at communicating... You couldn't make it up.
