I think ZTE is as banned as Huawei in US/UK.
They may have just got a better deal from ZTE , who knows.
It's not Huawei though which tbh is putting me off getting one.Seems like an excellent 4G router on paper. If it supports bridge mode it would be excellent.
Ask them to send me one as I'd like to try it...... Or is that too much to askI'll try to find out exactly what it is from Three.
That's another model, the cat6 version. Here's a short unboxing of the router if it's of any interest to anyone folks.
ZTE MF286R
£109 on Amazon.
Oh right, sorry about that folks, cheers Lucian. That's another model, the cat6 version.
The Three one is MF286D.
For £59 (1month at £29 + £30 upfront) half tempted to see what it offers myself, though I'd bet that it'll be SIM locked and customised firmware (reduced functionality). The router specifications seem excellent. I'm waiting for someone else here to jump first and report back about it before I jump in. I've just bought a house I won't be living in for a while and I want to put 4G internet into it to run some cameras. Not looking for anything expensive and performance shouldn't be much of an issue so it would be a good option.
I'll see if I can get my hands on oneFor £59 (1month at £29 + £30 upfront) half tempted to see what it offers myself, though I'd bet that it'll be SIM locked and customised firmware (reduced functionality).
Go-on be the guinea pig
Did you end up taking the plunge on the new 4G hub with the above route (i.e. "£59 (1month at £29 + £30 upfront)")?I'll see if I can get my hands on one
