New Three 5G Hub (NR5103E)

Hi all

Can anyone confirm what router Three is shipping at the moment? If you go to their postcode checker it's showing a picture of the MC801A I think?

Or is the website just bugged and they're shipping the NR5103EV2 still?

Hi jadevision, it might be the MC888 if it's not either version of the NR5103E router. 🤷‍♂️
It's very similar looking to the MC801A :)

They are currently shipping the ZTE MC888 for both personal and business broadband contracts.

If you want a ZyXEL they still have some instore subject to availability. Only once they are sold are they being replenished with these ZTE hubs again.

Hello friends, I noticed that the Zyxel NR5103E V1 router has features that are locked and restricted in the admin panel. Can anyone help me gain super admin access?

Is there any way to force the browser to remember and suggest credentials on the login page? It seems the username and password boxes are not detected properly by the browser.

Thank you

Yeah, I've noticed this with Bitwarden. It can't autofill the username/password boxes and falls back to prompting to copy/paste the password instead. I come across the occasional website like this,
It has no SSL cert either which is rather poor and you have to bypass the warnings. Hoping a firmware update one day may solve that.

Most isp routers don't have ssl certificate, use http instead of https when login into router, than warning shouldn't come up.

Tried Firefox and Chrome, both having this issue. Do you get the browser popup to save credentials?
I don't have this router but I have a router that some login pages doesn't work on my main browser which is 'Min browser' but it works okay in other browsers and that's why I suggested using or trying other browsers.

Sorry, I meant it does have a cert but isn't trusted by any browser I've used.
For instance in Brave I get a NSURLErrorServerCertificateUntrusted.
very likely that's a 'self signed certificate' in the router and that will not be trusted by most browsers, unless you force trust that certificate - and the method for each browser will essentially accomplish the same but may differ slightly.

Anyone having problems with Three? Everytime I try and use the Internet it cuts out. When I do a Speedtest, it's starts and then the 5g data icon disappears and Speedtest shows errors. Three customer services is useless as they state that there is no problem in the area. I have tried the sim in two devices and same issue.

Hi has anyone managed to setup VPN on this Three router or better still fully install different firmware, open router is there a install for that ?

Hy did you manage to get newer firmware or resolve the issue I'm in the same boat

Try changing the APN, the 2 APNs they use are "three.co.uk" and "3internet" - switch between them and see what works.

Hello, I am new to the forum and hoping that someone may be able to help with a port forwarding issue. I have a NR5103EV2 firmware version V1.00(ACIR.1)C0, I am attempting to configure a Samsung v3 smartthings hub connected via ethernet (port 1).

At the moment, I cannot get the samsung hub to connect to the samsung servers. Looking online, it suggest it needs access to a specific list of ports (37,443,9443,11111,39500).

I have configured the APN to manual (3internet), set to ipv4 so that the router IP is accessible outside the network and assigned a static IP to the samsung hub.

Where I am coming stuck is opening the ports for the device. I have attempted to set the protocol, access rule and NAT settings, but nothing I do results in the port being accessible according to the websites I am using to test the port. 443 registers as open but this appears to be completely unconnected to my rules.

Has anyone had any luck with setting ports on this router?
