New Three 5G Hub (NR5103E)

I'm sure others will advise on the best place to find a cheap unlimited SIM, but I've just used mobiles.co.uk to buy a 300gb IDMobile SIM for £7/month AFTER CashBack (24mnth contract). It's £14/month BEFORE CashBack.
not bad at all but remembering to submit the cashback on the required dates is what discourages me with these deals.

Yes, it is a bit of a pain, but you just put the dates in your calendar, login to Vodafone/IDMobile, download your bill, login to Mobiles.co.uk, upload your bill, press Submit & wait a month for a paper cheque to arrive. It's probably designed to be a pain so you forget to do it & thereby make them money.

Just been nosing around in my router settings (NR5103eV2) and I have a couple of questions. Perhaps someone here can help me understand:

1. What does the screen shown here mean? I can't find the MAC addresses listed among the devices connected to my network...

2. When I try to access the router log I get the following error:
1727698812341.webp

Is this a bug that I can fix, or is something else dodgy going on?

Thanks in advance!

I had option 2 happen and could not even set up logging and it was due to my browser caching, sorted it by using Chrome browser, have you tried a different browser to log into the device?

Rather than try a different browser, I logged into the router in Chrome incognito mode, and it let me see the log perfectly fine! So thanks for the heads up!

Hi all.
I have now bought the Scancom 500GB SIM untli Feb 2027. I do understand that I cannot see how much I have used and how much I have left.

Obviously the NR5103E has a system monitor but it seems to be woefully out. Does it reset when you re-boot or something like that?

Does anyone else have a solution so I can set a counter and work out how much I have left. I have a feeling that it will just run out and stop working so it would be good to know when I'm getting close.

Doesn't scancom have a portal you can log into and check data usage?

I am with o2 via Scancom *unlimited* sim and i receive email notifications:

Alerts
You will get email alerts re the above mobile(s) when they hit various data usage thresholds
Lower Data Usage (FYI only) 245GB
Upper Data Usage (FYI only) 593GB
Data Bar Alert when the is about to / or has exceeded the fair use policy
If your SIM is barred, it will reset the 1st of the following month.

Your "Service - Data Usage (All)" alert has been triggered. Your Lower Limit (250880.00MB) has been hit.

Once you have reached 100% your account will be restricted to control costs.

I do not know if these alerts are only with o2.

Some advice please? I have this router and previously the 801C. The sim is a Three Business sim. I upgraded as signal stopped reaching the basement. I run it with a TP Link X55 mesh system across three floors. The Three signal has become erratic. Sometimes 400mbps down and 17up. Other times struggles with reaching double figures and upload nonexistent. The basement two floors down is a nightmare. I have a Three phone sim as does my partner. Used to download 350 plus but now it barely scratches 20mbps. Switching between Ethernet link to TP X55 and Three WiFi makes no difference. Speed test results are jittery and variable. Do I factory reset everything and start from scratch or abandon Three? After three years of mostly decent speeds I’m giving up as I can’t do work calls without having my camera off and this is on pc as well as on phone LTE.

Just managed to pick up the NR5103E V2 from just outside Edinburgh for £10 from Facebook Marketplace

I appear to be starting a 5G Router Collection now 👀
Wow! That must be the bargain of the year Stewart. (y) 😁
