New unlimited ISP and Router

Have you created an account at my.zerotier.com?

You need to do that first and create your network. The network will have it's own IP range.

You then should use the zerotier app on your computer or whatever and connect it using the network ID. Over on the website this device will pop up and you can tick the box to allow it access, it will then be assigned a ZT IP.

Then further up the page there is the managed routes section. If your local network router IP is 192.168.1.1 then you should enter:

192.168.1.0/24 then in the via box enter the ZT IP of the device that you've used to connect your homenetwork to ZT, so in my case as the picture 192.168.192.153.

Then when you connect another device such as your phone or laptop from outside of your network to ZT, obviously allow it on the website too, you'll be able to access your local LAN.
Thanks.

I have two nodes on the ZT network, my iPhone and my rasberry.

The next image is my router LAN. I have circled the item ( 182.168.1.36 ) this is my alarm panel and I want this on the ZT Network, I have also circled the rasberry pi and you can see this is on my ZT network also.

I can’t see how to give the alarm panel a ZT network IP address and bring it on board my ZT VLAN network. Do I create a bridge between the rasberry pi and my router? Will that automatically bring all the devices across from the router LAN to the ZT VLAN?
It’s probably staring me in the face but I can’t see it!

Thanks.

You don't need to give the alarm panel specifically an IP because in the instructions provided it will give access to your entire LAN. Did you add the managed route in the ZT panel as described on the website?

Yes, but it didn’t allow access to it from the WAN. I can’t ping it from outside my local network. On the ZT members page I showed, there’s two devices, an iPhone and the rasberrypi, I can ping /access those from the WAN.
The alarm panel has a local network IP of 192.168.1.36. You told me to enter 192.168.1.0/24 in the managed routes section, the alarm panel IP address does not fall into that, is that right?

Yes, the IP of the alarm panel is included within the managed route. When you added this, is the ‘via’ your raspberry pi’s ZT managed IP? I can’t see clearly because the image isn’t very good quality but it looks like it starts out something along the lines of 10.x.x.x

If you’re sure it’s all right perhaps run the following commands
echo "0" > /proc/sys/net/bridge/bridge-nf-call-iptables

or

iptables -A FORWARD -p all -i br0 -j ACCEPT
