Now Broadband customer - where next? (fttp priority exchange) still need "landline" number

Im currently with Now broadband , its cheap and does the job for now, however in about 5 months my "deal" will come to an end and odds on the prices will drastically increase unless they offer me a new deal - chances are slim as i have been with them for over 12 months.

At the moment I'm paying £24/month for FTTC on what Now sell as "Super" Fibre which i think is the 80/40 speed profile with unlimited mobile and landline calls thrown in

So the next move of ISP will have to be to FTTP, but where? - theres only openreach, and no alt nets, and eall other options seem to be in the £40+/month bracket especially when adding in calls - however some ISPs no longer offer a call package, such as Talk Talk, or Plusnet and others offer no option to port the number such as Zen

Still need landline ( approx 100mins/month sometimes more sometimes less) must retain number

I'm with NOW and my contract expires at the end of the month. They sent me an email with an offer of a 12 month contract for £26.50/month. Although I don't use the landline to make calls that includes a PAYG phoneline as does my existing contract.

Used then for over 10 years, with multiple numbers. Can transfer your number in and you can do it right now. No need to wait until contract end. Has a lot of nice additional features like voicemails delivered to your email address.

I use Gigaset phones, but you can have a VOIP adapter if you want to keep your existing phones.

If pint transfers his number now to Sipgate, will it not cease his NOW line and contract?
Leading to loss of broadband and maybe an early termination charge.

And a little update, just had this in an emial from Now, tucked away at the bottom:
Keep what you have, From 01/03/2024 you will pay:
£24.50 a month
(No contract, keeps rolling unless cancelled, cancel anytime)

Super Fibre: 63 Mbps Average Speed, Unlimited Downloads, includes Line Rental

Anytime calls, plus Voicemail

This includes discounts totalling £23.00 a month. Your first discount will expire 01/03/2025.

To choose this option you don't have to do a thing

I think i will stick to copper for another 12 months, will they do the same the following year taking my copper internet and voice services into 2026?

No-one can answer that last question. I'd doubt it for a few reasons but no-one can answer with any confidence.
