MY housemate and I are seriously considering the 600k NTL standalone deal as it seems to be a particularly good offer. However, we have 2 machines and wish to both be connected to the service simultaneously. We are currently networked using a single crossover cable and two network cards only. I believe the modem NTL provide only allows for 1 user to be connected at any one time. Can anyone advise me what the cheapest and easiest way to get the setup I require would be? Regards.

The way you have the comps will work fine on NTL..

you will need another ethernet card to connect to the STB and both comps will work online. If planning on playing online games it could be laggy but it does work. I f you need more help PM me.

I got your PM but wasn't able top pm back as you havent activated it.

You can make it so both comps are connected to the internet.
1) way is making one comp a server for the other one like ours was.

2) is by getting a router so both comps connect to the router and the router connects to the internt cable modem (STB for those who have the package TV/Telephone/internet)
