This is only 99p more than the cheap deal of around a year ago folks.
Just sharing in case it's of interest to anyone.:)

And mine is up and running. O2 wont let me have a handset contract currently. But could be a good upgrade route in future.

Isn't that price rise foul of the new Ofcom rules? I thought needs to be a fixed amount now.
Didn’t think it was a rule yet, it’s under review no? Just EE are getting ahead of the game by implementing early

That may be the case then, maybe the start date is still in the future?

I had this deal last year. Took the hit of an early termination charge this month to leave to join EE as I couldn't stand looking at a full signal and no usable internet anymore. It was so bad at times that Waze said I was "offline".

Got stuck in Hammersmith today, couldn’t end my e-bike ride with O2, EE was too congested aswell

Not the Center of the town but down by the river/canal

And Vodafone decided to take 4 minutes to get off EDGE

Truly outstanding…

None of them are perfect, although there's certainly one that stands out 😂

Seeing how Vodafone performs here again, always 5G where I've tested so far and my n78 strength is actively better than O2 B1. Don't think I can access n1/n7/n8 though with the range of 4G bands deployed here (annoying). Haven't seen a whiff of EDGE, fast and snappy. Not used to the pings that actually aren't absurd (O2 was unfortunately).

Wish O2 was like it honestly.

No one should join a network on a contract these days without at least trying the service on a 1 month deal, or otherwise.

Just to add some "anecdotal experience" to the party, I have more congestion issues on my EE work phone than my Lebara personal phone.

Very good advice, reputation is based on peoples personal experiences but when it comes to networks, the quality can be variable even down to a postcode level. it can also change over time.

EE here has a lot of evening congestion/shaping now, its very different to how it was a few years back, the only reason I am still on the same package is laziness.

EE is definitely taking a congestion hit in some “Lyca areas”
