o2 FREE one year - Be Careful

Glad I am still in the 14 day cooling off period on this FREE for one year offer from o2.

This offer ties you into a new 12 month contract that as we all know you have to buy your way out of right up to even near the end if choose to change supplier. Also if you let it drift into the SKY changeover you will then be BOUND to a 12 month SKY contract which again would have to be bought out of if you choose to leave.

So do NOT jump on this offer as I did without thinking.

Will be ringing them Tuesday to bail out under the 14 day cooling off period and getting my MAC number.

They made this offer to me as well, but I declined it and signed up to Aquiss, (who are giving a £20 discount to people moving from o2) instead.

The only downside is you have to buy your own router, but the £20 helped with that and I'm still paying the same price I paid o2.

Can I ask a couple of questions ?

What made you choose Aquiss over Xilo ?

Which package did you chose ?

I am leaning towards Xilo myself.
Thanks

I play Call of Duty 2 online, (I'm a member of a clan) and Aquiss have a gaming package which is the one I choose.

The Xilo don't seem to have a gaming package, or if they do I couldn't find it on their site.

Aquiss are a pretty good ISP.. when l was with them they were pretty amazing.. only reason l moved was for a faster service as FTTC was in the area.. all l can say about them is their support is pretty quick always had tickets answered in a day and they always went that extra mile to help me out when and if l had a problem or question.

I've had a little taste of their customer already. About 15 minutes after signing up to on Tuesday they rang, (a guy called Mark or Martin I think) so ask if my phone line needed moving to them as well as that would make things longer to do. Fortunately that wasn't the case.

Plus the guy I talked to was really friendly and chatty, the whole thing made me feel my decision to join them was the right one.

That would be Martin, he is the company founder, he is a nice guy and is always happy to help.

last chat l had somehow it was so easy to go off topic :p was my fault really as l dont get to talk techy much around my friends lol. suffice to say the guys at aquiss are easy to talk to when problems occur (which was extremely rare).

Thanks Lee.

Yeah timeless that's what happened, the call was about whether the phone line needed moving, went off topic and lasted 7 minutes.

Nice guy as Lee said.

you dont find very many ISPs who are that friendly from my experience which accounts for allot l find.
