Since I added tha spam gaurd to my EE line, I get the most amount of spam calls and text on my O2 line, at least 2 per day at the moment.
Mine seems to have subsided, I did get an 020 number not long ago but it's mostly spam free. Whatsapp was what caused the sudden influx of spam callers.

Unfortunate though, I had a few international friends I was communicating with through Whatsapp.

Oh that's not good garetc, I can't remember the last time I had a spam call, it's been so long. (y)
I have ze simple solution, simply don't pick up if it's a unknown number.

If it's important enough, they as in the caller should leave either a voicemail message or a text to identify themselves, of course if it's a number you recognise or are expecting than you ought answer it.

That's what I do especially with spam calls from both the UK and aboard but it's good to have the operators pay more attention to this plague of scam callers.

I wouldn’t usually but we’ve been battling insurance companies, contractors and sub-contractors for the best part of 6-months after a flood at home. As quickly as I save a someone’s number, a new person is calling me!

In which case, there isn't much you can do :(

 I guess at least the bird's nest is gone (I presumed it was as there was pigeons here again)

They've got maintenance on the 5th of December again too (but surprisingly, it doesn't seem to cover that mast)

Coverage should be the same on Sky and O2 right? Explain that 🤣

Old image back to when I had my Sky SIM and O2 PAYG SIM in my phone. (Sky SIM shows 3 bars, O2 is 4) O2 also being the secondary SIM as well at the time.

Yes, both were set to use 4G (LTE)

It also doesn't matter to me now, however I just feel like it's a bit strange knowing that Sky uses O2's coverage yet somehow falls behind in coverage?

That's device related

You'd have to share which bands each SIM was connected to

It would have only been single band LTE due to no aggregation (Nokia 1.3) believe it was the SM215 (Snapdragon 215) chip.

Most likely band 8, but potentially band 20 for both.

I didn't check that part back then, and obviously as I no longer have said device, the O2 PAYG SIM being basically dead now, and also the fact I no longer have the sky SIM either I wouldn't be able to test like that.

But on this device, in roughly the same place, on O2 I'm seeing B8/B20 so it brings me to believe it was one of them.

It's a possibility that the O2 one used B20 and Sky was on B8 however 99.99% of the time they'd be on the same bands.

And it was also possible to get maximum signal in bars on B8 there too, still is now.

It is an undisputed fact that the coverage footprint of Sky and O2 is the same.
There is one thing I possibly missed, it was possible to connect to B28 from the one mast near enough there that has it. That would most certainly provide 4 signal bars if that is the case.

However what I can't remember is if the SM215 was capable (in the Nokia 1.3) of connecting to said B28.

Infact it probably was, just found this:

Again, SIM 1 (full bars, Sky) SIM 2 (O2 PAYG)

O2 was probably on B40 or B1 there. Based off of things I've noticed recently.

I would have said B1 as I don't think the 1.3 has B40 access on the SM215

Sky has full O2 access.
I was never refuting that, it was just odd about the disparity given it was in the same place, although I suppose it'd make some sense given band selection. Especially in that last image I found, there's no way the O2 SIM was on B8/20/28 (checked and the 1.3 on the SM215 can access B28)

The other thing is using dual Sims, the one not being used for data will always show a stronger signal regardless of operator as I've observed numerous times when I've used a mix of EE, Three, O2 and Vodafone with one preferred for data and the other as the backup.

As a example, I could use O2 as my back up SIM which would show 5 bars but use it as my preferred SIM for data and it automatically drops to 3 or 4 bars.

In any case, I don't think devices are intelligent enough to swap automatically between sims to get the stronger data connection.
