O2 to Be Move

Hi everyone,

After making the mistake of the century moving to O2's new broadband packages just for their Wireless Box IV I've grown tired of P2P throttling that come with their new broadband products.

Just two questions: Do Be slow down P2P traffic like BitTorrent? also can I move to Be without having to buy out my O2 contract (currently six months for free).

Thanks! :)

Good question and I'm sure it's one that has come up before but can't recall what the outcome was. Ultimately though I suspect that this is something you'd need to call BE directly about and discuss on an individual basis as the contract itself will still be with "O2" and their front line CS staff will probably just get confused if you ask them about it directly.

As for P2P throttling, BE does have a more flexible approach than O2 and that's why they tend to cost a few pounds more per month. Pick the "Unlimited" package.

Ordered the 'Unlimited' package on Saturday and the order is progessing with a start date and a router on the way.

Will let you know how I get on.
