Ofcom Too Late To Be Any Good

Found this in my inbox 28th March

Ofcom reference: 1-14348061

28 March 2007

Dear Smoothound (name changed)

Thank you for your recent email.

Ofcom has been contacted by many consumers expressing concern over Biscit Internet, an internet and telephony service provider which has recently gone into administration. BT Wholesale has announced that Biscit customers can call 0800 169 0934 to receive a migration authorisation code (MAC) that will allow them to transfer to a new provider with minimal delay. Biscit's broadband customers will automatically be directed to a website which will also provide details of how to get hold of this code.

If you have a 'maxsurf' login in (V21/Eurisp) customer then Breathe has now taken over existing customers. You should go to http://www.breatheinternet.com/maxsurf for advice on how to get your migration authorisation code (MAC).

Yours sincerely

A bit late don't you think?

Anybody else had a reply yet?

Not sure why you got a reply so late. I had a similar email from them back on about the 16th March.

I have just got a reply to my second e-mail, only a turnaround time of 7 days...

Dear Mr xxxxx

Thank you for your further email the contents of which have been noted.

I can confirm that I have logged a separate complaint under the above reference number in relation to BT Wholesale and their ‘walled garden’ approach.

Yours sincerely
