I very rarely have any problems with BT.
I'm on the G.Fast package, been on it for the past 13-14months, very rare to have packetloss/ping spikes... Also very nice latency too (3-4ms)
From Essex, only thing that's going to make me move away from BT is when they increase the pricing once my 24mth contract is over. Luckily got CityFibre in my area in hopefully the next few months.

qmtd your ping levels are very impressive, you may not have ping spikes seeing as you've got a large bandwidth.

Have you tested your ping while doing other things on your connection e.g. what happens if you stream twitch or download something.

These activities as you'd expect may push your ping up but the BT spike problem sends pings into the 100's making online gaming painful at best.

A good tool to use is below, set the sample rate to 500ms (2 pings per second) and watch the graph as you download or stream. As said you may not have any ping problems, it's not clear how much of the UK the BT ping problems actually affect. There was one customer on the BT ping spike thread that claimed to have the ping spike problem that had a FTTP connection.

Keep in mind that the majority of packet loss (~1%) & deviation that it says is occurring is due to my Double NAT, needs a little upgrade to OPNSense
