Openreach delays?

Hi

In the middle of a switch to EE FTTP since they had a deal for 30 quid on the contract going... EE gave the all good (obviously never said it wasnt available in the area), Openreach website gave the all good that FTTP 1Gbps speeds were in the area (Ultrafast Full Fibre).

Come a few weeks ago I get emailed the installation date of January 2023! I get on a phone call and they stated that the work isn't complete on Openreachs end, and they don't even have the CBT installed??? after expecting an installation date in a few weeks im now being told mid October.

I moved my TV over to Sky and Virgin won't even let me cancel that part of the package, so I'm still paying a full package even though i'm not using Virgin TV anymore.

You think I'd fall under auto compensation for this from Ofcom? The email they sent out was the first mention of a date from them so i dont even know if I'd fall under it. Person I was on the phone to with EE stated that I would - and that if I wouldn't then they'd look into compensation themselves. The Openreach website clearly states it's available in the area.

BT checker indicates a KCI2 assure install and also says FTTP is available for my address. complete incompetence.
